project: liberation RPS Training for Initial and Recertification
This 6-hour training provides a solid foundation for those interested in becoming a Registered Peer Supervisor by the MABPCB. Participants will be engaged in conversation, case studies, and learn techniques for working with peers, such as motivational interviewing. This training prepares RPS candidates in cultural competency, harm reduction skills, advocacy, mentoring/education, and the ethical commitments of becoming a Registered Peer Supervisor. Also, participants will learn new supervision tools and ways to provide feedback. Participants will also engage in learning the Four I’s of Feedback, the Blueprint of Me, and more! Participants will also receive access to templates and tools created by project: liberation to assist RPS’ in tracking the progress for mentees.
